Special Education Aide - Life Skills

The primary role is to assist the special education teacher in meeting the physical and instructional needs of students with significant disabilities in a life skills setting. This includes supporting academic progress, fostering independence in daily activities, and assisting with personal care as required by the student's individualized educational plan (Iep).

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged, with an associate degree or two years of higher education preferred, and must complete the educational aide certification process if hired. Essential abilities include working effectively with children with disabilities, following instructions, and maintaining student confidentiality.
