Direct Support Professional

Dsps provide one-To-One direct support services to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities to help them achieve independence, acting as mentors and role models for socially acceptable interactions. Responsibilities include implementing support plans, ensuring personal safety, and assisting clients in establishing daily schedules for maximizing independence.

The role requires supporting individuals with various challenges, including behavioral and physical needs, within their homes and communities while adhering to the individual's support plan. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a human services field and experience working with individuals with autism, though experience is not required.
