Early Education Teacher

The early education teacher instructs and supervises children in an early head start or head start classroom, implementing the curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices while completing necessary administrative tasks like attendance and meal counts. This role also involves working closely with co-Teachers to implement educational plans and engaging with parents through conferences and promoting involvement.

Candidates must meet specific educational requirements, such as a minimum associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field with 30 hours of coursework, or a cda for assistant teacher roles. Essential functions include maintaining a positive learning environment, supervising children during activities and mealtimes, and fulfilling extensive documentation and communication duties.
