Teaching Assistant

The substitute teaching assistant supports faculty by providing educational assistance, one-On-One instructional support based on lesson plans, and delivering lessons in the teacher’s absence. Key duties also involve supervising students in educational and residential settings, monitoring behavior, and ensuring client safety and compliance.

Candidates must be a minimum of 21 years old with a high school diploma or ged and possess a valid driver's license, meeting all driving requirements. A mandatory requirement is obtaining the isbe paraprofessional educator endorsement (Els para) upon hire, successfully passing a criminal background check, and completing tci training.
