Emotional Behavior Teacher K-2-Special Education Teacher

The teacher coordinates and provides direct instructional programs for special education students based on their individual education programs (Ieps), monitoring progress and maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Essential duties include developing and implementing ieps, employing various teaching methods, monitoring student behavior, and collaborating with teams during iep meetings.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and hold or be eligible for a north carolina professional educator’s license in an exceptional children’s teaching area, along with a valid driver's license. Required knowledge includes instructional practices for specially designed instruction, curriculum standards, and state/Federal policies concerning students with disabilities.
