2026-27 Special Populations Instructional Support Specialist (Internal Applicants Only)

The special education instructional specialist supports high-Quality instruction for scholars with diverse learning needs by coaching teachers and monitoring scholar progress. This role also participates in the teacher evaluation process through classroom observations and coaching cycles.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education or a related field, along with a valid south carolina special education teaching certification. Experience as a mentor teacher or instructional coach is required, along with knowledge of iep development and inclusive instructional practices.
