Head Start Assistant Teacher

The assistant teacher supports the lead teacher in facilitating daily indoor and outdoor preschool activities while ensuring the health, safety, and well-Being of children. Responsibilities also include assisting with meal distribution and maintaining accurate written records for the head start program.

Candidates must hold an associate degree in early childhood education or a child development associate (Cda) credential, or be currently enrolled in a qualifying program. Applicants are also required to possess a food handler’s card, pediatric cpr/First aid certification, and be registered with the oregon child care division-Criminal history registry.
