Job Description

• We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Medical Assisting program.
• This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director.
• The primary responsibility will be to teach Medical Assisting courses.
• The typical teaching load is 1-2 courses each term.
• Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required
• Certification:
• CCMA and/or
• CMA and/or
• RMA
• At least three years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated and results-driven
• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree required
• Certification in Medical Assisting
• At least three years of experience in the field of Medical Assisting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated and results driven
