Duties

Maintain direct supervision and programming of children in classroom assignment. Keep daily attendance records. Provide communication to parents/guardians on a daily basis. Assist Program Director in the planning of daily activity calendars and carry-out those activities as outlined. Maintain classroom in a neat orderly fashion at all times, to minimize safety hazards to children. Assist in meal and snack preparation as assigned by supervisor. Perform duties in conformance with the agency's policy and procedure manual. Attend continuing education/in-service training as directed by the Program Director. Attend staff meetings as scheduled. Maintain weekly logs, monthly observations and children's evaluations. Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor. QualificationsAssociate degree in early childhood education, child development, or a child-related area or a Child Development Associate credential and two (2) years experience related to caring for children or a high school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years experience related to caring for children.
