Job description

We are seeking highly qualified Preschool Teachers to work with children ages two to 5 years old to join us at Kiddie Academy. The role involves teaching and preparing young children for Kindergarten and beyond, requiring a great love and patience for children.

Kiddie Academy's curriculum is called Life Essentials.

  • The responsibilities of the Preschool Teachers for two to three year old's include implementing best practices, implementing Kiddie Academy curriculum, health and safety procedures and preschool educational methods.
  • This involves creating a conducive learning environment that fosters engagement and development in young children.
  • The more predictable your environment is the more learning can happen, so we expect to follow a predictable daily schedule and maintain classroom structure through routines.
  • The teachers are expected to engage children effectively by creating stimulating and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and growth.
  • Building trust and earning the attention of the children is crucial to their healthy mental and emotional development, as it creates a secure and nurturing environment for them to thrive in.
  • We work as a team to build meaningful connections

Requirements

Qualified candidates must have knowledge of preschool educational methods, the ability to engage children, and earn their trust and attention. Additionally, candidates must have a great love and patience for children.

Education and certification requirements

  • TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS A permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing authorizing service in the care, development, and instruction of children in a child care and development program.
  • This can be either of the following permits:
  • Regular Children’s Center Instructional Permit
  • Limited Children’s Center Instructional Permit
  • Emergency Children’s Center Instructional Permit
  • Child Development Master Teacher Permit
  • Child Development Teacher Permit
  • Child
  • Development
  • Associate
  • Teacher
  • Permit (Note: This permit authorizes the holder to supervise Assistant Permit holders and an aide.) OR A current credential issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing authorizing teaching service in elementary school or a single subject credential in home economics, and 12 units in ECE and/or CD or two years’ experience in early childhood education or a child care and development program.
