Teacher of the Deaf

The teacher of the deaf is responsible for facilitating classroom activities, fostering an environment conducive to learning, and providing individualized auditory and language sessions. They also collaborate with parents, maintain lesson plans, and contribute to the development of individualized educational plans (Ieps).

Candidates must hold a current massachusetts department of education certification in areas such as early childhood, elementary, special needs, or speech/Hearing/Language disorders. Experience in early childhood education and expertise in listening and spoken language development for hearing-Impaired children is required.
