Vocational Assistant

The vocational assistant supports the implementation of individualized vocational instruction for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities. They assist in reinforcing functional work skills, independence, and community participation under the direction of the vocational instructor.

Candidates should have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in special education, education, or a related field. Experience working with students with visual impairments or multiple disabilities is preferred, along with the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting up to 50 pounds.
