  • Function: Student Navigators are young adults who engage, mentor, and guide Opportunity Youth by sharing their stories, supporting enrollment and resources, and assisting with outreach, workshops, and feedback efforts to strengthen education and career pathways. Reports to College Recruitment Coordinator.
  • Job duties include, but are not limited to: Engage and recruit Opportunity Youth and Young Adults at community events, schools, and partner locations. Share personal experiences and success stories to motivate youth to pursue education, training, or workforce programs. Provide one-on-one support to help participants navigate enrollment, orientation, and access to resources such as transportation, childcare, and technology. Assist with organizing and facilitating career readiness workshops, orientations, and community engagement activities. Collaborate with the College Recruitment Coordinator and staff to strengthen outreach and gather participant feedback. Identify common barriers faced by youth and offer insight to improve services and retention efforts. Participate in ongoing professional development focused on leadership, communication, and employability skills. Support data collection efforts through surveys, focus groups, activity logs, or other documentation methods. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned.
