Mentors will provide high-dosage tutoring in reading, math, and study skills to student-athletes while tracking student progress data. They are also responsible for attending training, completing daily reports, and maintaining compliance with university and NCAA regulations.
Candidates must be currently enrolled as students at the University of Oklahoma and have earned a B or higher in the specific course they intend to tutor. Applicants must also demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with student-athletes.
Targeted salary of $15.00 per hour, based on experience

GRIT—Growing Resilient, Innovative Thinkers is a program that provides high dosage, explicit learning and thinking strategies to empower student athletes to feel and find success while providing an opportunity to close any possible academic gaps. GRIT Mentors have a roster of student athletes to implement research-based strategies for thinking critically beyond basic recall and memorization in reading and math. We are looking for reading, math, writing, and study skills mentors.
