The teacher assistant helps implement the head start curriculum to foster children's social, emotional, and intellectual development. They also maintain a clean, safe classroom environment and assist the teacher with ongoing child assessments and parent communications.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess an associate’s degree in early childhood education, nys certification, or a child development associate (Cda) credential. Previous experience with preschool children in a classroom setting is preferred, along with the ability to pass a background check.
