Provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for infants and toddlers through individualized curriculum and ongoing assessments. Manage classroom activities, maintain records, and collaborate with families to support child development.
Requires a CDA credential, an Associate's degree, or a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Candidates should have up to 6 months of experience and the physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Demonstrate classroom management skills, work as a part of a team, and complete records, reports, and data collection. Individualize curriculum based on each child's specific strengths and areas of need Facilitate screenings and ongoing assessments for assigned children Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use both in learning activities and in imaginative play. Supervise and interact with children during family-style mealtimes and activities. Demonstrate respect for families' values, strengths, and culture by welcoming their contributions and participation, and designing learning experiences accordingly. Engage in training and learning opportunities, including those focused on learning and implementing curricula and classroom design and management Follow fire drills, shelter-in-place, intruder, or any emergency procedures to safely assist children following protocols. Physical Requirements: This role requires the physical ability to frequently lift, carry, and supervise infants and toddlers in classroom and playground settings. Daily duties include sitting on the floor, engaging in child-centered activities, and moving fluidly between bending, kneeling, and squatting positions. The employee must be able to respond quickly to active children and emergencies, and lift children or equipment, lifting to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
