The instructor is responsible for delivering lecture, lab, and clinical content to CNA students in accordance with NATCEP objectives. They must also manage classroom activities, evaluate student progress, and maintain documentation as required by the college.
Candidates must hold an associate degree in nursing and possess a current LVN or RN license. At least two years of non-teaching work experience and approval as an instructor in a NATCEP program are required.
Job Summary The Dual Credit (DC) Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Instructor is a faculty member who has responsibility to ensure that NATCEP course objectives are met through provisions of assigned lecture, lab and clinical content in the CNA courses.
Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications Associate degree in nursing Appropriate current licensure (LVN or RN) 2 years non-teaching work experience Approval as an instructor in a NATCEP approved program OR has completed a course focused on teaching adult students, have experience in teaching adult students, or have experience supervising nurse aides.
Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing 1 year in work experience long-term care facility Preferred Competencies Computer skills, instructional design, organizational skills, and excellent communications skills are a must. Special Notes To Applicants Must be a current employee of Waller ISD
