Position Overview
The Community Ambassador will be responsible for representing Bridge Builders in our local community. The Ambassador will establish relationships with the community and host community education workshops and events throughout CD4. Most importantly, they will assist as a peer leader in the designing, implementation, education and outreach initiatives for the community of CD4 (Highbridge/ Morrisania ).
Position Qualifications
- HS diploma/GED recommended (Not required).
- Must have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in the community outreach field.
- Lived and/or worked in High bridge/CD-4 Community or some part of the Bronx.
- Experience building coalitions within communities, helping diverse groups of people identify and work toward common goals.
- Poise a strong interpersonal skills, be able to connect with and engage children, youth and families.
- Facilitating a group or club, coaching a team, and/or facilitating a class.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evening or weekend community meetings/events Bi-lingual in Spanish/English or French/English a must.
