Requires a minimum of a Master's degree in Secondary Education, Literacy, or a related field, along with a valid state teacher certification. Candidates must have at least five years of experience as a classroom teacher or reading specialist and 18 graduate credit hours in literature.

Masters in Secondary Education or Masters in Curriculum in Instruction or Masters in Literacy or Masters in Reading or related field AND 2 areas of exceptional expertise.
