Job Summary: We're looking for a dedicated Athletic Trainer to provide care, prevention, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. This role involves hands-on treatment, collaboration with medical professionals, and mentorship of athletic training students. The ideal candidate is someone who has strong communication skills, highly organized and can work in a fast-paced environment autonomously. This individual will be responsible for the care, prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, as well as for recordkeeping, administrative duties, and operation and maintenance of the Sports Medicine Clinic. Serve as a clinical preceptor and supervise graduate Athletic Training Education students. Specific assignments to be determined.   • Job Description: What We’re Looking For: Master's degree in a related field Certification through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC) CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers (AHA or ARC) Collegiate level experience preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Administrative skills, including EMR experience (Healthy Roster preferred) Flexible schedule with travel required Knowledge and experience working with a diverse population is preferred What You’ll Be Doing: Managing care, evaluation, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries Managing medical records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA/FERPA regulations Coordinating medical referrals and working with team physicians Traveling with teams for games and events, including team driving responsibilities Precepting Master’s of Athletic Training Students Collaborating with coaches and strength staff to develop safe training programs Occasional Athletic camp coverage Overseeing administrative duties Ensuring compliance with NCAA and PacWest Conference regulations Qualifications Required Education/Certifications Masters’ degree in related field Certification through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification CPR, AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification (AHA or ARC) Required Experience Collegiate level experience preferred, new grads are welcome to apply Eligible for Athletic Training Preceptor Status Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. Ability to perform the manual tasks associated with manual therapy for both evaluation and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Ability to manually assist ambulation of injured athletes. Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Requires repetitive motions. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Visual acuity necessary for evaluations and wound debridement.
