Job description
Overview Working parents on the Upper West Side are seeking a seasoned live-out career nanny for their two children, ages 1 and 4, with the role beginning in mid-August. The schedule will be 7am-7pm Monday through Friday, with ample opportunity for additional overtime hours on date nights and weekends, should the candidate be interested. The family is looking for a warm, professional candidate with strong experience caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children, as well as a long-term mindset and a proactive, engaging approach to childcare. This is a returning client of BAHS and we placed the family's current nanny with them 3 years ago.
Responsibilities
Providing attentive, nurturing, developmentally focused care Planning age-appropriate activities and supporting developmental milestones Preparing meals and snacks for the children Managing the children’s laundry and maintaining organization of nursery, bedrooms, and play areas Assisting with bathing, dressing, and daily routines Supporting the older child’s schedule and activities as needed Ensuring a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for both children
Qualifications
Extensive comparable experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children Easygoing, proactive, and professional demeanor Excellent, verifiable references Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate engagement
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of recent professional infant/toddler nanny experience in a private household. Valid U.S. passport, Green Card, or EAC. Flexible, travel-ready, and willing to travel both domestically and internationally Up to date on Flu, RSV, Tdap, and MMR vaccinations. Infant and child CPR certification Non-smoker / smoke-free lifestyle Salary and Benefits $40 per hour for the first 40 hours worked weekly Overtime paid at $60 per hour thereafter Guaranteed minimum annual compensation of $145,600 Healthcare stipend provided + all other industry standard benefits
