Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based therapy team. Under the supervision of a licensed SLP, the SLPA will help implement individualized treatment plans, provide direct therapy services, and support students in developing their communication skills. - Key Responsibilities Carry out treatment plans designed by the supervising SLP.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collect and record student progress data.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the therapy team to reinforce goals in the classroom environment.
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations under the direction of the supervising SLP.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or bachelor’s in communication sciences and Disorders (or related field). Active SLPA license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain before start date). School-based or pediatric experience preferred, not required. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. A passion for working with children and supporting their educational success.
