Provide clinical care, support, and education to breastfeeding mothers and their infants. Offer consultative guidance and education to medical staff, nursing teams, and community support groups.
Requires a Registered Nurse license and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant certification within one year of hire. Must have at least 2 years of clinical breastfeeding experience and a background in teaching and facilitation.
The Lactation Consultant I provides clinical care, support and education to breastfeeding mothers and their babies. The Lactation Consultant shall also provide consultative support and education to nursing, medical staff, and community breastfeeding support groups. Department Description
