Design and lead personalized workouts to help clients achieve fitness goals through motivation and safe exercise practices. Responsibilities include performing fitness assessments, maintaining records, and assisting with wellness program marketing.
Applicants must be enrolled students at the University of North Dakota with a recognized NCCA accredited certification (e.g., NSCA, ACE, ACSM, NASM). Must be able to lift 50 pounds and obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification within two weeks of hire.
Personal trainers are responsible for designing and leading workouts that will help clients accomplish their fitness goals through positive encouragement, motivation, and fostering internal desire to improve in a safe, correct, and appropriate way.
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
• Hold or be pursuing a major or minor in exercise science, recreation, nutrition or health-related field OR have experience in Personal Training and/or at least one certification, but pursuing a different primary career.
