Administrative Assistant Position Type: Full time Scheduled Weekly Hours: 35 Categories: Staff Non-exempt Job Summary: Performs administrative tasks including responding to phones, email, walk-ins, etc., scheduling department trainings/meetings, coordinating events, and processing invoices. Disseminates information in meetings and newsletter development. Triages and escalates incoming calls and work orders to address any campus concerns. Job Duties: Reporting Relationships: This role reports to the Dean, Library Sciences Work Setting/Schedule: On campus role This is a full-time role (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year) What You Will Do: Supports daily operations of assigned department, including scheduling meetings, updating calendars, creating reports, and maintaining inventory of office supplies. Coordinates the work of student employees as needed. Provides administrative support including working with vendors, greeting visitors and guests, and creating correspondence. Participates in office initiatives and prepares documentation for memberships, workshops, and conferences. Coordinates preparation of weekly meeting agendas and oversees logistics for meetings and travel. Supports team with expense reporting. Schedules meetings, coordinates safety and general training sessions, and assists with departmental events. Coordinates and provides support for staff searches, hiring, onboarding, and exiting. Processes and coordinates student payroll on-boarding, compensation changes, etc. Tracks and updates office locations, contacts, and special needs. 17.16-21.45 The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
