The teacher supports the Lead Teacher and Site Director in maintaining a safe, developmentally appropriate classroom environment. They are responsible for implementing an engaging curriculum and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the community.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and meet Oregon's Department of Early Learning and Care standards, including reaching Step 4 in the Oregon Registry. Required certifications include CPR, First Aid, and Food Handlers, or the ability to obtain them within 30 days.

The YMCA is an approved Pilot Site for Preschool For All starting in the Fall of 2024. Preschool For All is a Multnomah County funded program looking to connect 3 and 4 year olds with free, culturally responsive, inclusive preschool experiences.

Pass a YMCA Background Check Meet all Teacher's Aide or Teacher standards as dictated by Oregon's Department of Early Learning and Care and Preschool for All including reaching a Step 4 or higher in the Oregon Registry - Please include this with your application if possible Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment.
