The teacher delivers rigorous, standards-aligned high school social studies instruction to prepare students for academic and postsecondary success. Responsibilities include using assessment data to track progress and collaborating with colleagues on instructional alignment.
A bachelor's degree and a valid Michigan teaching certificate with a secondary subject-area endorsement are required. Candidates may also qualify through the GEE Career Advancement Program and must pass a criminal background check.

Must be able to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, and standing for extended periods. Work environment includes elevated noise levels.
