  • Advance student potential—and your own—as you collaborate with the teacher to work with small groups of students in delivering individualized services and support.
  • Realize the joy of possibility as you monitor student behavior, track educational progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce learning and skills through our proven model.
  • Direct Student Support and Mentorship Build trusting, consistent relationships with students through daily check-ins, one-on-one meetings, and informal interactions throughout the school day.
  • Serve as a go-to adult for students navigating academic, social, or personal challenges, providing guidance, encouragement, and a safe space to be heard.
  • Actively engage students in hallways, common areas, classrooms, and during transitions to foster a sense of belonging and connection to school.
  • Identify students who are disengaged, struggling, or at risk, and proactively initiate supportive conversations and interventions.
  • Facilitate small group discussions, check-in/check-out meetings, and student circles focused on goal-setting, social-emotional development, and school success.
  • Celebrate student achievements, milestones, and positive behaviors to reinforce motivation and self-confidence.
  • Behavior Management and Positive School Climate Implement and consistently apply the school's behavior management framework, including restorative practices, PBIS strategies, and tiered support systems.
  • Respond calmly and effectively to student behavioral concerns, de-escalating conflict situations using trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches.
  • Conduct restorative conversations with students following behavioral incidents, helping them reflect on impact and develop accountability and repair strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop individualized behavior support plans for students with recurring behavioral challenges.
  • Monitor behavior data and trends to help identify students who may benefit from additional support or intervention.

  • Generate brief reports on student engagement and behavioral trends to support team planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of student success and school operations.
