Job description

  • Description Help Create Stability, Growth, and Meaningful Progress At the Carmen B.
  • Pingree Autism Center of Learning, Social Service Workers support children with autism and their families through compassionate, relationship-centered care focused on safety, growth, and long-term success.
  • This role combines therapeutic support, skill-building, behavior management, and collaboration to help children build coping, communication, social, and daily living skills in a structured and supportive environment.
  • Social Service Workers work closely with interdisciplinary teams and families to ensure consistent care and meaningful progress for every child.

Pay

  • Range starts at $23/hour (pay is calculated based on years of licensed experience)
  • Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

  • Time Off We offer 15 days of accrued paid time off annually (increasing by one day with each year of service), 10 paid holidays, 2 wellness days, and paid parental leave.
  • Health & Insurance Benefits Full-time and part-time team members working 30+ hours per week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as voluntary options including accident, hospital indemnity, critical illness, financial protection, and pet insurance.
  • Valley also provides Basic Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, and Long-Term Disability Insurance at no cost to eligible team members.
  • Health Savings & Reimbursement Out-of-pocket medical expenses may be eligible for reimbursement through our Garner HRA — up to $2,000 for individuals and $4,000 for families.
  • Depending on your medical plan selection, you may also contribute pre-tax dollars to a Health Savings Account (HSA), with a company match of up to $900 for individuals and $1,800 for families.
  • Retirement Our 401(k) plan accepts both pre-tax and Roth (post-tax) contributions and includes a company match of up to 6% of your annual salary.

Job Summary & Deliverables The Social Service Worker provides therapeutic behavior management, case management, and other services as defined by licensure to ensure excellence in client care, fiscal management, and regulatory compliance. Provides therapeutic behavior management as prescribed by care plan Assists therapist as needed to develop and review safety/crisis plans and care plans Coordinates services among internal/external agencies and internal/external providers Follows care plan to monitor progress, teach skills, address behavioral concerns, and bill accordingly Ensures continuity of care Meets required productivity standards and other organizational expectations

Requirements

Education Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field Experience Internship experience as required for SSW license Licenses/Certifications SSW licensure in state of practice CPR certification Valley de-escalation certification
