The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing classroom environment and implementing a developmentally appropriate emergent curriculum. They must observe children's interests, document milestones, and maintain effective communication with families.
Candidates should ideally hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and possess NYS certification. Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy and strong classroom management skills are required.

Preschool Lead Teacher Qualifications: Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Preferred Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Early Childhood Education Special Education Child Development with a focus of study on Birth to 2nd grade or Nursery Child Psychology NYS certification (or planning to receive certification) in the following areas: Nursery to 6th grade Birth to 2nd grade, Students with Disabilities – birth to 2nd grade Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy and emergent curriculum. Must be at least 18 years old Must meet all state preschool teacher requirements High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours Demonstrated classroom management skills Preschool Lead Teacher Job Responsibilities: A Preschool Teacher will accept the philosophy of Cadence Education and will work as part of the teaching team to encourage a positive learning environment for all children within the center Document and share with parents the important milestones in a child’s day Collaborate with other passionate preschool teachers and leaders to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum Respect and observe children's interests. Intervene when needed to maintain safety. Enhance children's play with language, toys, and activities Encourage and model social behavior and expectations which are developmentally appropriate Share ideas in planning a daily schedule which provides a balance of activities: quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, fine/gross motor, etc. Cadence Education is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
