Provide specialized instruction and support for students with autistic needs within an elementary school classroom. Implement and evaluate individualized educational, social, and emotional goals while coordinating services according to each student's IEP.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field and at least one year of experience working with autistic populations. Preference is given to candidates with a Master's degree and PA Department of Education certification.
M-F: 8:50-3:35 pm: This position is aligned with the school calendar and is a full-time role covering a 10-month period and opportunities for extended school year program in summer break. Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field required, Master’s degree in special education preferred. PA Department of Education certification as teacher preferred. At least one year of experience in an educational setting working with individuals with autism and/or other special education populations. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms. Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines. Significant and frequent amounts of walking, standing and lifting of 10 lbs. or more is required. Must be able to present through verbal and written communication, as well as develop visual media. Travel required as needs dictate. Requires repetitive use of wrists/hands/legs, including long periods of time operating office equipment.
