The Cheer Coach is responsible for leading high-quality cheer and pom programs for middle school students, including planning practices and attending games. They must act as a role model while maintaining professional communication with parents, athletes, and administrators.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old with at least 2 years of cheer or pom experience. CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are preferred, along with the physical ability to demonstrate moves and spot tumbling.
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Cheer Coach is responsible for high quality programs, customer service and participant engagement. This individual must maintain high personal standards, adhere to, and carry out the mission of the Greater Midland Community Center.
Coaches should be able to stand for the duration of practice. The ability to spot for tumbling exercises is necessary to ensure safety of our students. Should have the ability to demonstrate certain pom or cheer specific moves for instructional purposes.
