  • Help designing behavior plans and behavior-tracking systems.
  • Support for teaching-team meetings focused on specific children and challenges.
  • Make referrals to appropriate behavioral health and family-support services.

  • Meet with families or staff during early-morning or evening hours as needed.
  • Travel throughout Wayne County to assigned sites.
  • Take on other related duties as assigned.
  • Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education, early childhood, special education, social work, or a related field.

    Market context

Behavioral intervention roles remain in demand

In Michigan, Behavioral Interventionist roles are often tied to school and community programs serving children with disabilities, so demand tends to follow district and county service needs. These positions are competitive because employers look for candidates with a relevant bachelor’s degree, hands-on experience with young children, and the communication skills to handle difficult conversations with stakeholders. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits on this platform to save time, and confirm your transportation plan and examples of working with children before applying.
