Description We're hiring a compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our therapeutic classroom team. This position is also a great fit for experienced Teacher Aides, Classroom Assistants, Instructional Aides, School Aides, Education Assistants, Behavior Technicians, Behavioral Technicians, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Childcare Professionals, Mental Health Technicians, Youth Care Specialists, or anyone passionate about helping students succeed. Working alongside certified Special Education Teachers, therapists, psychologists, and behavioral health professionals, you'll provide individualized student support that helps children develop communication, academic, behavioral, social, and independent living skills in a structured, positive learning environment.
Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Passion for working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, emotional disabilities, or behavioral health needs. Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional during challenging situations. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to complete Heartspring orientation and required annual training. Maintain CPR certification and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification.
