Support the Lead Teacher in implementing lesson plans and supervising children within a PreK Counts classroom. Manage daily schedules, document child progress, and assume lead responsibilities in the teacher's absence.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience working with children and pass all required health and background clearances.
Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking a dedicated team member to support our PreK Counts Lead Teacher at our New Market West Center in a Preschool classroom.
Implement lesson plans along with the Lead Teacher Supervise children in your care Assist with all tasks associated with the daily schedule Teachers in programs participating in CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) must follow additional serving and preparation procedures, including implementing family-style serving. Engage in Wonderspring staff meetings, attend in-services, external training programs, and actively participate in center events to foster professional development, collaboration, and a cohesive team environment Follow and adhere to the responsibilities outlined by the lead teacher for the classroom. Assume the lead teacher's classroom responsibilities in their absence. Comply with the partnership requirements of PreK Counts. Develop a strong relationship with your School District team Observe, document, and celebrate each child’s progress, sharing their victories (big and small) with proud parents.
