Assist the head coach in the daily operations, practice planning, and positional instruction of a Division III men's soccer program. Responsibilities also include evaluating game situations, recruiting athletes, and coordinating team travel.
A bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of coaching experience are required. Preference is given to candidates with a master's degree and at least 5 years of collegiate or high school coaching experience.
Basic Function Assistant to Head Coach in all aspects of an Old Dominion Athletic Conference Division III sports program
Specific Responsibilities: Assist the head coach in day to day operations of the team and program Assist in practice planning Assist in positional instruction as defined by the head coach Evaluate post practice and game situations Assist in recruiting Coordinate team travel with head coach supervision Other related duties as assigned A majority of coaching duties will be teaching their respective sport to students. This coaching is expected to be in person.
Coaching experience of at least 3 years required. Bachelor's degree required.
Skills and Qualifications: Collegiate playing or previous collegiate or high school coaching experience of at least five years required. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and the desire to work in a Division III environment. Master's degree preferred.
