As an Adult Care Specialist, you'll work alongside young adults (ages 18–24) in a residential setting, creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where they can grow, heal, and prepare for independent living. What You'll Do No two days are the same!
  • You'll have the opportunity to: Build meaningful, trusting relationships with youth through encouragement, mentorship, and positive engagement. Help young people identify goals and celebrate progress toward achieving them. Create a safe, structured, and welcoming environment where everyone feels respected and supported. Teach practical life skills including hygiene, self-care, budgeting, community resources, healthy relationships, and independent living. Facilitate fun, engaging individual and group activities that promote learning, teamwork, and personal growth. Use trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches to help youth navigate challenges and build resilience. Support youth during difficult moments with empathy, patience, and effective crisis intervention techniques. Provide therapeutic interventions as outlined in individualized service plans and accurately document services provided. Prepare meals and encourage healthy daily routines. Transport youth to appointments, activities, school, work, and community events. Complete documentation in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Communicate with teammates during shift changes to ensure excellent continuity of care. Participate in trainings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to continue growing your skills. Help youth solve problems, make positive choices, and build confidence for successful independent living.

  • We're looking for someone who is: Compassionate, patient, and encouraging Passionate about helping young people succeed Skilled at building relationships and creating trust Calm under pressure and confident in handling challenging situations Flexible, dependable, and adaptable Organized with strong documentation skills A collaborative team player Committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care Comfortable using Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems QualificationsQualifications Required High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license with the ability to transport clients Ability to obtain or maintain CPR/First Aid certification Preferred Bachelor's degree Two or more years of experience working with at-risk youth or in a residential setting Coursework or experience in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field Work Environment This is an on-site position in a residential program serving young adults ages 18–24. Our team works together in shelters, group homes, and similar residential settings to provide around-the-clock support. Because our youth need us every day, schedules may include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements This is an active role!
