In addition, the Teacher is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising individualized direct care, educational group services and activities for each assigned student or group. This position defines and implements education and behavior goals as a member of the educational team. As an active member, this position provides continuous individualized tailored student care, observation, interaction, documentation, and role modeling to students while under the direct supervision of the School Supervisor. As Teacher, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education or related field. A minimum of three years related experience. Certified as a Special Education teacher by the State of GA required.
Minimum of two (2) yeas as an instructor in a psychiatric facility. Knowledge of educational theories and classroom teaching strategies with a good understanding of education and therapeutic intervention.
Valid teaching credentials and credentials to teach exceptional children.
