  • Range: $54,987.00 - $80,015.00 Salary/yearACES Mill Road School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and collaborative Special Education Teacher to join our K–8 educational team. Mill Road School serves students with diverse learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs through highly individualized, trauma-informed programming designed to help every student achieve academic, behavioral, and personal success. Our educators create structured, engaging learning environments where students develop confidence, independence, and the skills necessary to thrive both in school and beyond. Working alongside behavior analysts, social workers, related service providers, and instructional support staff, teachers play a vital role in fostering a safe, restorative, and inclusive school community.
  • Our program is committed to: Providing a individualized learning environment that supports each student's unique strengths, abilities, and educational goals. Delivering high-quality instruction through evidence-based practices, differentiated instruction, and the meaningful integration of technology to maximize student engagement and achievement. Integrating academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports throughout the school day. Building strong partnerships with families, sending districts, and community agencies to support student growth. Creating a restorative learning environment that promotes positive relationships, emotional regulation, and student success. Preparing students with the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional skills needed to be successful in their least restrictive educational environment and future settings. QualificationsConnecticut teacher certification in special education required. Will consider candidates who are currently enrolled in a Special Education Teacher preparation program and are eligible for a Durational Shortage Area Permit (DSAP).
