Position Title: HR Systems Training Specialist Job Family Group: Professional Staff
Summary: The HR Systems Training Specialist will partner with central Human Resources, the Workday Service Center, and functional area/subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop, implement, and maintain Workday training instructional materials in multiple modalities including Job Aids, videos, live/virtual instructor-led training, and online computer-based trainings to assist employees in learning Workday & other HR Systems functionality. The Specialist will make recommendations on resources to support all employees across the organization This position will be a combination of in-office and remote work.
Job Responsibilities: Training Creation, Management & Assessment Create and maintain Workday and HR Systems training curriculum and development plans utilizing multiple modalities such as Job Aids, videos, live/virtual instructor-led training, and computer-based trainings Design and deploy new training content as needed using enterprise and commercial tools. Maintain knowledge of all Workday modules including HCM, FIN, Talent & Performance, Compensation, etc. Stay current on Workday changes through active participation in Workday Community and internal meetings with Workday Service Center and HR Systems teams Participate in discovery and testing sessions for any new modules Evaluate training impacts from Workday’s semi-annual releases in partnership with the Workday Service Center and develop appropriate implementation materials Conduct semi-annual audits of Workday or HR Systems Job Aids and other reference materials; evaluate and review for changes and schedule future materials for publication Partner with HR Colleagues and the Workday Service Center for ongoing assessment of training needs of employees in HR Systems. Assess applicability and relevance of existing training and the opportunity to develop new training using analytics from Workday and other sources of data Apply continuous improvement principles to training creation and delivery, help text functionality, and all other aspects of the training function Training Delivery Schedule and deliver training sessions as needed based on Workday updates or when new modules or options are added Facilitate SME-led informational sessions in partnership with functional areas Manage existing courses and add new courses and curricula based on identified needs. Internal Promotion & Communication Work in collaboration to maintain materials related to HR Systems, including the Workday Intranet Site and the KUMC Talent & Performance Hub.
