Core responsibilities
The extern will shadow and assist credentialed veterinary technicians with triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, and inpatient care. They will practice clinical skills required by their academic program while receiving real-Time mentorship in an emergency hospital setting.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an avma-Accredited veterinary technology or nursing program and require externship hours. Applicants must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 kg and standing for prolonged periods.
