Core responsibilities
The behavioral support specialist will observe individuals, create prevention and support plans based on functional assessments, and train staff on plan implementation. Responsibilities also include preparing progress reports and actively participating in the inter-Disciplinary team (Idt) for individual habilitation plan development.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be able to obtain registered behavior technician certification within 90 days of employment and possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory record. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with the ability to exercise good judgment, remain calm during crises, and effectively communicate findings.
