  • This position is responsible for: Implements, monitors, and leads children participating in programs and services within the Kroc Academy after-school program, camps, activities and events. Evaluates activities and provides recommendations to supervisor(s) regarding program enhancements. Serves as a youth mentor to ensure academic success, recreational and art exposure, healthy lifestyles, and good character are goals for all participants. Builds and maintains a professional relationship with program participants and their families to help advance the mission of The Salvation Army Kroc Center and Kroc Academy. Ensures the security, safety, cleanliness, and exceptional hygiene is maintained for all campers.
  • Duty 1: Provides constant care for the needs of children/youth in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner; recognizes mentorship opportunities while acknowledging the strengths, challenges, preferences, and general attitude of each child; explains Kroc Academy offerings and aligns program options with individual goals.
  • Duty 2: Infuses the gospel within programs as provided by supervisor(s) and/or Corps staff; emphasizes Bible verses, draws conclusions between Biblical themes and activities/projects.
