Core responsibilities
The counselor will provide direct student support through individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and coordination with external providers for students in grades 9-12. Responsibilities also include contributing to preventative programming, facilitating advisory sessions, and teaching assigned health courses.
Requirements summary
A master's degree in a related counseling field and eligibility for or possession of new jersey licensure (Lac, lpc, lcsw, or equivalent) are required, with school counseling certification being a plus. Candidates must have experience counseling adolescents, expertise in crisis intervention, and a deep understanding of adolescent development and supporting neurodivergent students.
