Special Education Teacher

The special education teacher is responsible for developing lesson plans that accommodate various student levels and supervising paraprofessionals. They also manage classroom behavior programs and attend iep meetings to ensure compliance with educational standards.

Candidates must hold a valid michigan teaching certificate with a special education endorsement and have teaching experience with students with disabilities. A background check and tb clearance are also required.
