Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing Professional Development Specialist (Wage)

Nursing professional development specialists manage the centralized orientation, continuing education, professional development, and mandatory training for uva health system nursing staff. This involves assessing needs, designing, marketing, delivering, and evaluating learning programs, while also acting as a facilitator, change agent, and mentor.

A graduate of an accredited nursing program is required, along with a master’s degree needed within one year of hire, preferably in nursing or education. Candidates must have 3 years of clinical nursing experience, and specific roles may require additional experience or certifications like cnor.
