Core responsibilities
The youth advocate i provides support and mentoring services to an assigned caseload of students, utilizing best practices to help them achieve positive academic outcomes, life skills attainment, and successful employment experiences. Key duties include recruiting students, meeting regularly to review progress, teaching self-Sufficiency strategies, developing individualized graduation plans, and facilitating evidence-Based coursework and activities.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged, along with either a minimum of two years of relevant experience in human services or youth development, or an associate's degree with one year of experience, or a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A special requirement includes holding an unrestricted, valid nys driver's license for at least one year with a clean record.
