Afterschool Counselor I

The site counselor is responsible for leading assigned groups in planned activities under the direction of program and site directors, focusing on implementing activities for elementary-Age children that support success in school. All decisions must adhere to bright from the start (Bfts) and ymca standards regarding program operation and compliance.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a minimum credential meeting bfts requirements along with a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience working with school-Age children in a group setting is required, and candidates must pass background checks including gcic/Ncic and fingerprinting.
