Speech Language Pathologist

The primary function involves evaluating, planning, and providing therapeutic intervention for speech and language deficits in individuals with acquired brain injury, including developing exercise programs and consulting with external services. Responsibilities also include assisting individuals with compensation techniques, testing abilities, recommending environmental changes, and educating consumers and families on communication strategies.

Candidates must have successfully completed a speech language pathology program from an accredited university and be eligible for the clinical fellowship year. A high degree of sensitivity, excellent planning and coordination abilities, strong time management, and effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
