Teacher of the Deaf

The teacher of the deaf will provide academic, social, and developmental support for young children (Birth to five) in various early childhood settings. Key duties include designing and implementing appropriate lessons based on the family's chosen communication modality and leading team members in developing ifsp or iep goals.

Candidates must possess the required nys teacher of the deaf certificate and preferably hold certification for birth to 2nd grade students with disabilities. Prior experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, especially in early childhood intervention, is preferred.
